18 years in, 10 years out: Bridgewater Four down to Two

Jim Robinson dies

Jim Robinson, one of the ‘Bridgewater Four‘ wrongly convicted of the 1978 murder of West Midlands paper boy Carl Bridgewater, died the other day. Lung cancer. He was 73.

Pat Molloy died in prison in 1981. Vincent and Michael Hickey were released with Robinson when their convictions were overturned at the Court of Appeal in 1997.

No police officer has been prosecuted for their part in the fabrication of evidence or abuse of the men wrongly convicted.

Carl Bridgewater’s killer was never brought to justice.
