PC Alex MacFarlane racist arrest trial two: second jury fails to reach verdict

Following the failure of the jury in the first trial of Met cop PC Alex MacFarlane to come to a consensus on his guilt or otherwise, a second jury has done likewise.

Are we to draw a conclusion from this?

  1. Too many women on the jury. They love men in uniform, just as men like women in short skirts, stockings, high heels and suspenders.

  2. That’s a pretty facile comment.

  3. What our policemen have come to? Why did no other police officers who witnessed the racial abuse recorded that abuse in their statements? One or 2 policeman did something wrong is one thing, but have all of the colleagues covering it up is the most worrying aspect. There must be a disciplinary punishment for those police officers who have witnessed the abuse but chose to cover it up. Lying in their statements is a criminal offence. it is called perverting the course of justice. Lying under oath is perjury also a criminal offence. I am amazed that Judge Gledhill QC felt that he should went out his way to justify PC Macfarlane conduct.

  4. heh, or normal operating procedure as it’s known to all of us who have been fitted up. Welcome to our ranks, Andrew Mitchell.
